Book Fair means more new books for Academy Library

Over three afternoons last week, we ran a book fair in the Academy Library. Many students and their parents visited the book fair to browse through and buy books provided by Scholastics. There was a wide range of books available from young children's story books through to teen fiction from popular authors such as David Walliams. Suzanne Collins and Julia Donaldson.

All the parents and students were very supportive and we sold a massive £375 worth of books which has given us commission on our sales to buy £94 worth of books for the Academy Library! Because of this success we now hope to hold more book fairs at six month intervals.

Thank you to all the parents and students who supported the fair and a special thank you to Thelma French in Year 7 and other members of the Book Club for helping with the fair.
