Year 9 Technology Students have been designing and creating wooden bookends and there has been some amazing results!

"Students have been designing and making wooden bookends in Technology this term. The products are made from a combination of traditional and modern processes. Students used traditional wood working techniques to mark out and cut finger joints in their plywood bases and sides. These were then sawn and fitted by hand. The 'theme' part of the bookends was drawn on computer using Techsoft 2D Design software and then laser cut from thin plywood. Constructed and assembled by hand, students have been creative in their ideas and produced some quality products" Julian Wills - Design & Tecnology Teacher.
