On Thursday 3rd of March Dartmouth Academy Primary students dressed up as their favourite fictional characters from much-loved stories such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Cat in The Hat. Pupils started off the day with a Celebration Assembly and were able to admire all of the fantastic costumes and talk about the importance and the joy of reading.

World Book Day celebrates authors, illustrators, books and the joy of reading every year.

You can visit www.worldbookday.com for a list of 2016’s £1 books.
