Years 5 and 6 students hit their way to 2nd place in Rounders Area Final!
On the 18th June 2014, Dartmouth Academy hosted the Area Final for Year 5/6 rounders. The sunny event, involved over 70 students from 6 schools located in the Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Ivybridge area.
The standard of play was very good and the scores at the end were particularly close; Dartmouth Academy coming joint 2nd with 3 other schools, taking 2nd place overall as they had scored more rounders in total.
Dartmouth Academy pupils, Abby Peeke and Ayrton Dowding were the stand out performers on the day. Abby for her consistency in bowling and Ayrton for his high rate of rounders scored.
The Sports Leaders who officiated were exceptional on the day and, as a result, have been invited to officiate the County Finals next week at the Plymouth Life Centre. Loddiswell, as winners of the area final, will also be participating in the at the event. We wish them all the best of luck.
