Welcome to the Primary Phase at Dartmouth Academy

​We are a small, all-through academy. Staff get to know children and their families very well indeed. Together, we are able to develop a caring community. We celebrate the ‘all thoroughness’ of our school through inter house competitions and buddy systems with the support from secondary children. 

Underpinned by care, children thrive because staff work hard to inspire them. Learning is exciting, engaging and purposeful. It is as a result of this combination of care and inspiration that our children then excel. We follow the International Primary Curriculum whereby children develop the skills to become confident and inspired learners, as they work towards goals in academic learning, personal learning and global learning. Staff help children to become ‘their best selves’ through developing skills such as resilience, morality and thoughtfulness.

The Primary Phase provides a  Before School Club starting at 8am each morning and After School Club ending at 6:00pm each evening. Dartmouth Academy is a true community and we invite you to visit us and experience our unique school.
