Year 10 'Jump Rope For Heart'
Last term a Year 10 tutor group planned a charity fundraiser for the British Heart Foundation. The task, aimed at developing leadership skills, aimed to increase participation of all ages in physical activity, as well as raise a bit of money for the BHF. The Year 10 group planned, produced and delivered a series of assemblies, posters and flyers, spreading the word to all pupils from Year 1 through to Year 9.
The Year 10 Developing Leaders group visited the primary pupils during their break times to practise different skipping styles, tricks and activities, as well as popping into other secondary tutor groups at tutor time to raise awareness of the event scheduled to take place during PE lessons in the final week of the term.
