Teacher changes for the new year
At the end of last term we said goodbye to three teachers: Mrs Berry (Class 3/4GB), Mr S Payne (Maths) and Ms Yoxall (Design & Technology). I would like to place on record, here, my thanks for the contributions they have made to the Academy during their time with us; they will be missed. In Year 3/4 we have Mrs Bakewell now sharing the class with Miss Griffin. Mrs Bakewell is well known to the Academy and many of our parents and we are confident that she will be able to ensure a smooth transition for the children in the class. In Design & Technology we are joined by Mr Barratt (above, right) who has previously led the Design & Technology Department at Churston Ferrers Grammar School. We welcome him to the Academy and are looking forward to the experience and strengths he will bring to the team. In Maths we have replaced Mr Payne with two colleagues for the first half term, Mr Povey (above, left) and Miss Rose (above, centre). This will allow us to enhance the support available in Maths to key groups in Year 6, 10 and 11. After half term Mr Povey will continue with us. Nick Hindmarsh, Principal
