Academy students wear something red - and staff compete in special Bake Off competition for Red Nose

Friday 13th March saw Dartmouth Academy coloured with splash of red. Staff and students were invited to wear an item of red clothing along with their school uniform in exchange for a donation of £1 each. To help raise more money for the fundraising event, staff held their own special Comic Relief Bake Off competition. A range of cakes baked by the staff, many decorated with a Red Nose theme, were brought in to the Academy and were judged by Nick 'Paul Hollywood' Bowles and Gill "Mary Berry' Secretan. Principal's PA Vicki Hart was judged the winner for her delicious 'Red Nose' cherry bakewell cakes. The cakes baked by the team were then sold at a special Comic Relief cake sale alongside donations from parents and students held at the end of the day. The total raised by the Academy this year was £486.50 which will all go to Comic Relief.
