Dartmouth Community Bookshop support World Book Day at Academy

Dartmouth Community Bookshop has supported the Academy every World Book Day. Last year we took trips to the Bookshop in Dartmouth's Higher Street to spend our Book Day vouchers. Which was a great success. This year the Academy went one better and had the Community Bookshop come to us. The Bookshop's Kathy Stanfield joined us for the morning with a fabulous collection of books for all ages. Each class from Nursery to year 9 came down to the Academy Library to choose a free book to take home with them. We gave 380 books out to pupils throughout the school day and had children in every class reading to each other. Many thanks to Kathy and her team at the Community Bookshop for their continuing support in promoting reading throughout the Academy.
