Year 8 students create their own news reports for BBC School Report Day

On Thursday 19th March, 14 Year 8 students spent the day creating news reports for the BBC's School Report Day. The annual event has now been running for 8 years and Dartmouth has participated in every one so far. There are now over a thousand schools all over the UK participating in the special day where students create news reports using a range of media including newspaper articles, radio programmes, video reports and more. Working to a strict deadline, the students had to research the news of the day, write their scripts, then film their reports and interviews before editing them all together and uploading the video to the internet. The students found the day an enjoyable experience, although they found it tough to keep to the tight deadline.
