Bikeability
‘For four days starting on Monday 16th May, years 5 and 6 completed their level 1 and 2 cycling proficiency. They completed a range of activities at school and then, once they were ready, they rode off site around Cross Parks. The children were tested on their understanding of road signs and the highway code. The children thoroughly enjoyed Bikeability and talked about cycling at home more. Finley Wood said “Bikeability was really fun and exciting because we got to ride on the road.” Brayden Frost said “I enjoyed Bikeability because it taught me how to ride a bike safely on the road”. Isabelle Tompkins “I enjoyed Bikeability because it made me feel better about cycling on the road. Now I don’t panic!” Alicia Willicott “I can’t wait to ride my bike more at home”. The instructors were fantastic and the children were really lucky to be part of it.’
