Dartmouth Academy have been commissioned to create a mosaic for the new indoor pool and will shortly begin this with a workshop with a mosaic artist. Details are to be finalised but the designs all centre around famous moments in Dartmouth history and will take pride of place in the pool complex.

This is nothing new to Dartmouth students who were previously commissioned to create a series of stunning mosaics for Dartmouth Leisure Centre. Students worked with artists as well as members of the community in learning new skills and showcasing their work in a public venue.

The reputation of the Art and Design department is excellent and as such students have received a number of public commissions, even creating the town sign as visitors enter Dartmouth!
