Year 3/4 Young Spirit Residential

In May Year 3 and 4 children had a one night residential trip at Dewerstone Cottage on Dartmoor with Young Spirit. The children started their journey on a sunny walk through beautiful Dartmoor alongside the River Tavy. Whilst having their lunch and dipping their toes in the cool water, they spotted an eel and fed it the remains of their lunch, a rare find we were told! The children enjoyed whittling toasting forks and then using them to cook their bread on an open fire. The evening was spent around a crackling fire, toasting marshmallows and talking about the day’s adventures. After a day of fresh air, walking and paddling in the river the children were exhausted and slept through the night in their bunk rooms. Everyone enjoyed the trip and would like to thank Young Spirit for a fantastic residential trip.
